Friends-International is seeking a qualified Thai national to fill the position of Medical Assistant.

Context :

The medical assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the Peuan Peuan Program is providing best quality services to children/youth, their families and their communities.

He/she will work under the supervision of the Peuan Peuan Program Manager

Main Responsibilities

-Provide basic health care to children/youth and their families on the streets, in the communities and in RTG Shelters

-Organize and facilitate referral system to clinics, hospitals and other medical services

-Support the team to organize a referral system to clinics, hospitals and other medical services

-Conduct regular monitoring visits to RTG Shelters and communities

-Provide training and support the teams in Bangkok to provide basic health careto children/youth and their family and to refer children/youth and their family to the adequate hospitals or medical services

-Work as a case worker in specific cases of children/youth and their family in Bangkok on request of the case managers

-Collaborate with medical staff in RTG
Shelters to improve hygiene and health condition

-Monitor and evaluate the hygiene
situation of working areas or FI,including Peuan Peuan Emergency Center and BMA Drop in center

-Participate in professional training activities,as needed or requested

-Prepare a monthly reports (or essential updates as requested) to Peuan Peuan Program Manager

-Perform other duties, as appropriate or requested

-Work asa case worker for specific cases of children/youth and their families inBangkok on request of their case managers

-Plan and manage the budget of medical care items needed

-Provide professional advice on health care issues to the teams and partnering agencies

-Ensure on-going sharing on information on health issues to the teams and partnering agencies

-Maintain good relationship with government agencies, partners and other health services providers

Minimum Qualifications:

-Thai National

-Nurse of medical assistant degree or public health background

-At least 3 years professional experience as a nurse or medical assistant or public health officer

-Experience working with children and youth

-Able to communicate in English, Cambodian, Burmese or Laos is a plus

-Sociable personality, self confident, creative and enthusiastic

-Flexible,team worker and able to work under pressure

Location: This position is based in Bangkok and requires sometimes trips to Aranyaprathet

Duration: Full-time work

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences
